Rare in this oversized format. "Ready for the Reds," reads the cutline of this 1939 New York Yankees team photo. And boy, were they ever ready. The unforgettable squad -- which featured the likes of Hall of Famers Joe DiMaggio, Lou Gehrig, Lefty Gomez, Bill Dickey and skipper Joe McCarthy -- swept Cincinnati in the '39 Series.

This jumbo oversized team photo shows the future champ just days before they realized postseason glory. It measures 11.5" x 15.5" and its reverse side has editor's markings, the date Oct 3 1939, and a Daily News photo stamp. NM condition. 00254
