Offered is a Spalding Official National League Ford Frick baseball which was used during the Chicago Cubs 4-0 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals on September 8, 1937 at Wrigley Field. Ball has been signed by that days Cardinals hurler Dizzy Dean along with inscriptions reading "9-8-37", "Cubs 4 Cards 0 Pitchers Dean & French" and "$100 & 30 Days", (Important to note this was from his final game as a Cardinal). The "$100 & 30 Days" inscription was applied specifically by Dean for the ball's original recipient, a judge whose courtroom Dizzy visited. A handwritten letter from the daughter of the judge (Ruvian D. Hendrick) who was originally gifted the ball by Dean will attend as will a pair of PSA/DNA LOAs from past auction sales. Some fading present to signature & inscriptions. (93U0203)
