1935 Babe Phelps “Fishbone B” Brooklyn Dodgers Chain Stitched Game Worn Cap (MEARS LOA) Only Known Example of This Style

Classic Dodgers design with the short lived “Fishbone” or skinny “B”. Construction consists of 6 panel design, 8 stitch short bill, white crown button, and white trim stitching. Interior examination reveals “Spalding” was the supplier as evidenced by this 1930 tag design. Size “7” and “Phelps” is chain stitched into the leather head band. Cap remains in excellent overall condition. Head band shows heavy game wear but remains fully intact. A vintage repair is found on the tip of the bill. Our research reveals this is the only known example of the “Fishbone B” Dodgers cap to survive.
