1933 Tom Yawkey Clarke Griffith William Harridge American League Chiefs “St. Petersburg Times” Original 9" x 7" News Photo (“St. Petersburg” Hologram/MEARS LOA)

The main men of the American League in 1933 gather for winter meetings in this original 9" x 7" photo from the St. Petersburg Times. Featured subjects include: Tom Yawkey (Boston) Clark Griffith (Washington), Jacob Ruppert (New York) and AL President William Harridge. There is minor paper loss on front.

Located on reverse is a "Dec. 24 1933" date stamp, typed caption and St. Petersburg Times hologram.

The St. Petersburg Times traces its origin to the West Hillsborough Times, a weekly newspaper started in Duedin, Florida in 1884. This is an original photo, in many cases a Type 1 printed at the time of the event. File copies or type 2 photos are also found, and can be distinguished by the markings on the reverse.
