Every once in a while a signed baseball will just jump off the screen. In our years of viewing countless treasures, this is undoubtedly the finest Babe Ruth single-signed orb we have encountered - and it is not even close.
The long and short of the story is this ball was signed for our consignor's father and stashed away, never to see the light of day. Well that is until now. Yes, while the family was rummaging through some belongings in rural Wisconsin, this treasure was just waiting to be found. If we all could only be so lucky to find such a ball.
Offered is Spalding King of the Diamond baseball which was signed by Ruth and stored away. The ball dates to 1932 and was signed by Ruth in Chicago.
Each of the stampings is clearly visible on this creamy sphere. The signature jumps out on the sweet spot.
The grandeur and majesty exuded from this baseball is all encompassing. We can just imagine walking up to the Babe himself and presenting this for a signature. The always accommodating slugger confidently grabbed the ball and carefully crafted his name across the sweet spot. Side panel autographs need not apply when discussing Ruthian signatures.
We would estimate this ball as being in the top 3% of any baseball signed by Ruth. A full LOA from JSA will attend and serve as authenticity.
Please note, this ball has never been offered before and will rest comfortably in one lucky subscriber's collection for years to come.
