Joe Glenn was primarily a backup catcher, but when he got his chance, he did quite well. He was a teammate of Gehrig, Ruth, Ruffing, DiMaggio, and Rolfe during the 1930s dynasty. He was proud to note he was a member of the Yankee’s four consecutive World’s Championships. Because of his talkative nature, Lou Gehrig nicknamed him “Gabby”.
Manufactured by the Kren’s company, this Hand Turned model was produced exclusively for professional use.
Date: Bat dates to circa 1932-38 based on the centerbrand design and Glenn’s major league career.
Length (34”): Bat currently measures 34”.
Weight (30 ounces): Bat currently weighs 30 ounces.
Game Use: Bat exhibits heavy game use.
A rare bat from an obscure member of New York Yankee history.
