Armour Tech, better known as Illinois Tech, field a baseball team in the 1930s. From that team is this almost pristine jersey and pants combination - carefully preserved for decades on end by a player's family.
Offered is an original jersey and pants combination from Armour Tech. The jersey has all the original buttons still attached. "ARMOUR" is expressed across the front in single-color black felt. Black piping surrounds the button path and neckline. Secured in the collar is a Spalding period tag and blank swatch (probably used for identification). No number was used on back. Minor left sleeve staining.
The road gray pants include the following inner waistline tags: "Sommer" written, "34" (size), Spalding and blank swatch (partially disengaged).
Also included is a wool jersey and pinstriped pants with no manufacturer's tags. Finally, three leggings (one pair) and a Wilson model A2770 Spear-M Model glove are included.
Tremendous vintage game relics, which were preserved with the utmost care.
