1930s Lou Gehrig New York Yankees J.C. Higgins First Baseman's Glove Lou Gehrig Jr. Model

While Babe Ruth was larger-than-life, Lou Gehrig was a just a regular guy who had an uncanny ability to hit a baseball.

The Ironhorse was a perfect candidate for a store model glove. He never sought out the spotlight but rather deferred to Babe Ruth.

From the J.C. Higgins company is this Lou Gehrig Jr. store model glove. "Lou Gehrig Jr." is branded on the inside as is a J.C. Higgins circular reference. Heavy use is shown on the leather left handed mitt. Also included is a Goudey Lou Gehrig wrapper from the 1930s advertising the Knot Hold League.
