Bob Shawkey won 207 games during his big league career and ended his career on the '27 Yankees. Not a bad way to call it a career.

This Yankees payroll check was made out to Shawkey on Sept. 27, 1930. Ed Barrow and Jacob Ruppert signed the front while Shawkey endorsed the reverse, twice for good measure. This could mean two Sharkey cuts, a Barrow and a Ruppert.

Encapsulated in a PSA/DNA holder.
