Offered is a Jimmie Foxx store model H&B Louisville Slugger dating to the outset of his career circa 1929-31. The length of the bat, 36", is stamped on the knob while the bat currently weighs 33 ounces. Heavy use shown with slight deadwood throughout the barrel and a 20" handle crack which has been repaired with a dozen period nails. Residue from tape which was originally used to hold the crack in place and has been subsequently removed is also visible. (82J0162)
