Offered is a professional model Spalding game used bat. 1926-32 era Spalding Hand Turned center brand present along with a block letter "Gross" barrel stamping. A number of players with the last name Gross played in the minor leagues during this time frame with the most prominent being Turkey Gross, who played 9 games for the 1925 Red Sox.
Bat measures 34", weighs 33 ounces and shows heavy use with ball marks, stitch marks and deadwood which has been repaired with 6 period nails. Bat is also sidewritten, though use has rendered the details illegible.
