This is a block letter last name only game used bat that was returned to H&B but the side writing is no longer visible. In determining which Moran could have used this bat, a search of Baseball Reference showed all the players with this last name in both the major and minor leagues. We examined each to pinpoint the exact era of this bat to determine which player may have used it. Pat is the only person active who could have used this bat according to our research. He was the manager of the Cincinnati Reds from 1919 through 1923 so this bat was used by him for two seasons, 1922-23. Moran is best remembered as the skipper for the 1915 Phillies and the 1919 Reds. After the 1923 season, Moran became ill and died thus ending what would have been a promising career in baseball.
