Lot #557:

1920's Charlie Root Store Model Player Endorsed Fielder's Mitt

Offered is a 1920's era store model fielder's mitt featuring a player endorsement in the form of a signature stamping from Chicago Cubs hurler Charlie Root, who is most frequently remembered as the hurler on the mound for Babe Ruth's famous called shot. Mitt fits on left hand for a right handed thrower and shows heavy use though the Root signature stamping remains easily discernible. (93U0117)
