1920-28 Clyde Barnhart Pittsburgh Pirates Kren's Special Professional Model Game Used Bat (MEARS A7.5)

Offered for auction in this lot is a Clyde Barnhart professional model Kren's Special game used bat from his time with the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 1920's. This pre-model number stick features a Kren's Special center brand along with a Barnhart barrel stamping in block letters.

This ash bat currently weighs 35 ounces, measures 35" in length and matches recorded player specifications with a small knob and round barrel. It exhibits signs of medium use with ball marks, stitch marks and some discoloration to the barrel's end. Handle remains uncracked.

Bat receives 5 points for matching recorded player specifications, 3 points for use and loses 1/2 point for the discoloration to the barrel resulting in a final grade of MEARS A7.5.
