Offered is a professional model Bernie Friberg H&B Louisville Slugger game used bat from the begining of his career with the Chicago Cubs between 1919 & 1922. Three instances of sidewriting present though the majority of the writing has been rendered illegible. Adjacent to the barrel stamping reads in part "Kansas City Baseball Club Kansas City, MO" which is consistent with Friberg's season spent with the Kansas City Blues of the American Association in 1921.
1916-22 era H&B center brand present while "Friberg" is stamped on the barrel in block letters. Bat measures 34.5", weighs 36 ounces and shows heavy use with ball marks, dead wood, shipping label remnants and an 8" handle crack upon which repair has been attempted with 2 period nails.
