This is an early version of the Oil Tempered bat with the Victorian style lettering on the barrel. It was used and returned to Louisville Slugger and the original shipping label along with the nails used to attach it are still partially present. The side writing is visible but no longer legible. The bat shows tremendous game use had has been cracked and repaired with numerous nails used for this purpose. Factory stamps are deep and defined. Bat measures 34 3/4" and weighs 32 oz.
