Baseball has been in our hearts for the majority of two centuries and there is no end in sight. From one of the earliest attempts at marketing Major League Baseball is this 1916 effort.
"Major League Baseball" is visible on front in cursive script on the wooden box. We believe all of the contents are still a part of this offering. Player cards featuring St. Louis (George Sisler), Cincinnati, Philadelphia, Boston (Harry Hooper), Cleveland (Tris Speaker), New York Giants (Fred Merkle), Detroit (Ty Cobb), Brooklyn (Casey Stengel), Pittsburgh (Honus Wagner), Washington (Walter Johnson) and numerous minor league clubs on the player cards.
Wooden pegs, an instruction card and Major League Base Ball coupon are included. The playing surface is clean and the spinner fully functional.
