Conlon cut off Wahoo Sam Crawford's Detroit Tigers hat in this image as he intended to capture the grip Crawford used to knock his way through the doors at Cooperstown.

Hand selected for inclusion in the book "Baseball's Golden Age: The Photographs of Charles M. Conlon, 1993" each of these offered images were developed from the original glass plate negative.
