Although we aren't sure how much protection this provided the gridiron player who wore these, it did give some protection. Circa 1910s is this eight spoke leather helmet with a wool filled inside. "RR" is engraved on the crown.

Also included are early shoulder pads. We were astounded at how thin these are.
