This bat rack has all of the original wood and bolts and was found with no bat holders or sign. Each bat support has been recreated in steel and mounted along with a metal reproduction sign taken from an original sign sold in the Barry Halper auction, the only all original Spalding rack that has ever surfaced, selling for upwards of $30,000. The original wood on this rack has been expertly refinished leaving all of the original script A.G.Spalding markings on two of the original supports. The metal sign is full color and the rack holds 18 bats, nine to a side. This is the next best thing to an all original Spalding rack and since there has not been one sold since 1999, this example would fill the bill and look great in that sports den filled with your favorite vintage lumber. Due to the size, shipping will be expensive (probably about $300) but the rack can be picked up and once paid, we will keep it here until it can be picked up. Collection of MEARS staff.
