Offered is a plate promoting the 1908 Grand Old Party Presedential Ticket of William Howard Taft & James Schoolcraft Sherman who would go on to defeat the Democratic ticket of William Bryan and John Kern by a 2-1 margin in the Electoral College. Images of past Grand Old Party Standard Bearers such as Teddy Roosevelt, Rutherford B. Hayes, Abraham Lincoln and more circle the 9.5" plate which remains in fair condition, though Taft's eyes seem to have been rubbed out intentionally. (E0314)
