Way back when baseball fans had a newspaper or this type of tavern card as the only way to stay abreast on all the action.
Television was a long ways away. Offered for bidder consideration is a 18 1/4" x 12" tavern card which lists the baseball standings for Friday August 24, 1900. Advertisement is found on both sides of the American League and National League standings.
This rates GD with paper loss and chipping on the sides. The paper is brittle.
What is noteworthy from the 1900 Class A Milwaukee Brewers was the skipper - none other than Hall of Fame skipper Connie Mack. Of course, back in 1900 Mack was an aspiring manager who was just getting started.
