Offered is a document bestowing the rank of Second Lieutenant of Infantry upon Charles McClure which has been signed at the bottom by the 25th President of the United States William McKinley as well as by his Secretary of War Elihu Root. Document measures 15.5" x 19.5" with a blue seal in the lower left hand corner and "Recorded Adjutant General's Office December 26, 1899 (signed) Adjudant General" written red ink in the upper right corner.
