Offered is another 120 year old fielder's mitt. It too is made of canvas while the whole catching side of the mitt is covered in a thin leather (wearing through in spots) along with a smaller heavier leather sweet spot. There is a maker's name ink stamped on back that starts with the letter "M" and is fully there and visible, just hard to make out name but it looks like Monarch with trade mark in a scroll beneath. There are some holes and tears on the back canvas hand pouch but for a mitt of this age, is still incredibly clean and presentable. Unusual to find one of these mitts let alone two examples in the same auction.
