Harvey Catchings was a defensive force who could alter a team's offense with his shot blocking skill.
It is well known in the jersey collecting universe that Milwaukee Bucks game worn wares are a near impossible find. One theory suggests the Bucks have kept the bulk of their game worn jerseys as they never seem to surface on the open market.
The classic 1980s Bucks colors are captured on this size "44" Catchings gamer. We have whittled the vintage of this knit pullover to 1979-81 by cross referencing Catchings' first year in Milwaukee and the team script on front.
Each of the identifiers is heat pressed on this classic style, highlighted with red material. The Bucks answer to those Astros rainbow knit jerseys or even Nuggets is showcased on the side panels. Glue affixed in the tail is a Medalist Sand Knit wash tag and suspended size "44" flag tag. Both show signs of wash wear as do the identifiers which have cracked slightly from use/launderings.
"CATCHINGS" is arched atop the verso numbers in single-color white tackle twill. Also included is a "Property of Mil Bucks" sticker tag which accompanied the jersey, documenting the fact this jersey was sourced directly from the Milwaukee Bucks. (60N0152)
