Featured in this lot is a Lance Johnson professional model Louisville Slugger game used bat from his final season in the big leagues with the New York Yankees in 2000. Model number O69 and Atlanta Braves are stamped on the barrel along with Lance Johnson in block letters. One Dog's uniform number 1 is written on the knob in black sharpie. Even though he ended up signing with the Bronx Bombers, the Atlanta Braves had expressed enough interest during the 2000 offseason that Lance felt confident putting in a bat order.
This Gwynn finished ash bat currently weighs 29 ounces, measures 35" in length and matches known player factory records with a regular knob and round barrel. It exhibits heavy signs of use with numerous ball marks, deeply embedded stitch marks, bat rack marks and a 8" handle crack with some separation. (Q0070)
MEARS grades this bat as authentic.
