Though known as a Cubs player and sometimes even confused to have been a career Cubbie, Ryne Sandberg actually played for the Phillies early in his storied Hall of Fame career. Reverse includes: Editorial markings and a St. Petersburg Times hologram.
The St. Petersburg Times traces its origin to the West Hillsborough Times, a weekly newspaper started in Duedin, Florida in 1884. This is an original photo, in many cases a Type 1 printed at the time of the event. File copies or type 2 photos are also found, and can be distinguished by the markings on the reverse.
