Model D100, 35”-32 oz., signature model. Heavy use but not cracked with deeply embedded ball and lace marks. It grades an overall A7.5 with half point taken for some old glue on the barrel. This is the first of his bats that we have graded. Diering came up with the Cardinals in 1947 but his best year with them was in 1949 hitting .263 in 131 games. He was not only a member of the first year 1954 Orioles but was voted the most valuable Oriole that year as well. Diering had stints in both the PCL as well as in the AAA and Int. League. A scarce bat for anyone building the 1954 inaugural Orioles team or Cardinal collector.
