Exact date of printing unknown (1920 written in pen on back), but due to the Detroit News stamp, this photo was a first generation image printed for exclusive use for The Sporting News magazine during the 1930s. The photograph could not have been taken any later than August of 1920 As Cicotte was banned for life that month by Landis due to his part in the Black Sox scandal.
