Offered is a red & blue stitched Reach Official American League Ban Johnson baseball which was used during the Boston Red Sox 4-0 victory over the Philadelphia Athletics on September 7th 1923 at Shibe Park during which Red Sox hurler Howard Ehmke pitched a no hitter. Ehmke has signed the side panel while text which appear to read in part "Athletics Boston Sept. 7 1923" is handwritten on the ball. Heavy use shown with numerous areas of deterioration to the horsehide. (14P0177)
