2005 marked the 11th season of Derek Jeter’s Hall of Fame career with the New York Yankees. Going strong, after appearing in 159 games, Jeter tallied 19 HR’s, .309 batting average, and swatted 202 hits, which one of one of the eight seasons that he did so.
Offered for this lot is a superb example of a complete 2005 Derek Jeter New York Yankees road uniform, shirt and pants. Supplied by the Majestic Company, this shirt is properly tagged with the “2005” and “48” tagging. The inside tag reads, “100 polyester, machine wash, cold water, wash with like colors, do not bleach, line dry, do not iron, made in USA, 0062”.
The matching pants were also supplied by Majestic and have the “2 Jeter 35-37 35 05” strip tag in the waistband. Shirt and pants exhibits heavy, solid game wear.
Our consignor had an early career (non player) in major league baseball and obtained this uniform directly from the Oakland A’s organization. A letter of provenance from our consignor will accompany this lot.
Final Grade (MEARS A10): The shirt was examined to the five categories of evaluation per the Official MEARS Grading and Authentication work sheet. Based on the physical and manufacturing characteristic and accompanying provenance, this shirt was assigned the grade of a MEARS A10.
