The 1990-91 Chicago Bulls finished in first place in the Central Division, as well as first overall in the Eastern Conference with a 61-21 record. In the playoffs, the Bulls swept the New York Knicks in the first round. Then in the semifinals, they defeated the Philadelphia 76ers in five games. In the Eastern Conference Finals, they swept the defending champions Detroit Pistons. The Bulls would go on to beat the Los Angeles Lakers in the 1991 NBA Finals, winning their first ever championship in franchise history. This season was the first of three consecutive NBA titles for the Bulls.
Offer for this lot is an official NBA game ball signed in black sharpie by all 12 members of the 1990-91 Chicago Bulls Championship First Even Championship team. Zen Master Phil Jackson has also signed the basketball. A better, more complete example does not exist. Our consignor obtained this basketball at either the Chicago based Charitabulls Auction or Fandamonium Sales which were conducted at Chicago Stadium. Many were obtained before the time the team issued letter of authenticity. We have researched the ball and complete lists of signers include:
