The heart of the Milwaukee Brewers, this bat is fresh to the hobby and is one of the finest examples known from the 1986-1989 era.
Bat measures 34.75”, which would have been ordered by Yount as a 35” length. The factory “cupping” of the bat resulted in the difference in length. Bat weighs 32 ounces which is within the acceptable range of Yount Bat from the era.
Bat exhibits heavy game use patterns which are closely associated with Robin Yount. First, his uniform number 19 appears on the knob, and is applied in a manner consistent with Yount bats from his career. The handle has a 15” area of heavy pine tar extending upward towards the center brand. Rack marks are present, along with dozens of ball, seam, and stich marks. Numerous blue ball transfer marks are also present.
Final Grade (MEARS A9.5): Base grade of 5 points for bat matching factory records, 3 points for optimal/heavy game use, 2 points for player use traits, minus ½ for light facsimile name stamping on barrel end.
