The best left handed picture in baseball history, we are proud to offer this pair of Warren Spahn game worn cleats. These professional model cleats date to the 1950-1960s circa. The pair of black leather cleats display considerable usage wear. These cleats were saved by Warren Spahn and remained as part of his personal effects. No discernable manufacturer’s marking/identifiers remain visible but the outline of a removed tag is present. The size and shape of the tag is consistent with the manufacture Wilson Spiriting goods. Wilson is a verified supplier of cleats to Warren Spahn as documented by the pair which is a permanent part of the MEARS museum. Leather conditioner has been professionally applied and the original patina and suppleness of the leather has been restored. The shoes are in excellent overall condition and show heavy game wear. The laces are original. A very fine example of Warren Spahn memorabilia. A signed letter from Spahn’s son Greg accompanies this lot.
