Offered is a Ted Williams professional model H&B Louisville Slugger team index bat from his time spent with the Boston Red Sox in the 1950's. Model number W1 is stamped on the knob while the bat features a 1950-60 era H&B center brand and signature model barrel.
This ash bat currently weighs 30 ounces, measures 34" in length and matches team index records with a regular knob and round barrel. It exhibits signs of heavy use with ball marks, deeply embedded stitch marks, dead wood on the reverse of the barrel and a handle crack which has been repaired with black tape.
Bat receives 5 points for matching team index records, 3 points for use and loses 1 point for the handle crack/tape resulting in a final grade of MEARS A7.
