Current Milwaukee Bucks fans are excited to think about a return to the NBA Championship Series. Fans of a certain age recall the " Big Green Line" and the thrills of the 1971 Championship season when the Bucks swept the Baltimore Bullets in the finals.
Sometimes over-looked is the 1973-74 team and the exciting final series against the Boston Celtics.
The Bucks were injury riddled, but evened the series with a double-overtime win in Game 6 in Boston.
Game 7 was played in Milwaukee on Sunday May 12, 1974. The details for the game that date are printed in the center of this program. The ticket stub for the game was taped to the first sheet of the program. It is listed as Playoff Game 9, for the grand cost of $6 for a middle parquet seat at the Milwaukee Arena.
Also included as part of this package are 6 pages of game day notes compiled for the media. One can almost still smell the purple ink from the mimeograph machine used to print the sheets. (35K0178)
