Offered is a Topeka Hawks home jersey originally issued circa their 1956 season as the Milwaukee Braves Western League affiliate. MacGregor size 46 with a Set 1 1956 flag tag sewn in the tail & "Vandy" written in the collar while a gothic style letter "T" & number 25 are also sewn to the cream flannel jersey. Rounding out the uniform are a pair of MacGregor size 40 pants with "21" & "Kuyk" handwritten on the waistband. Heavy wear with a broken zipper on the jersey & some fabric holes. Jersey sourced from a member of the Topeka Board of Directors who said it was subsequently worn circa 1959-60 by manager Johnny Vander Meer when the club was a Cincinnati affiliate. (35K0047)
