Offered is a Kirby Puckett professional model Louisville Slugger game used bat from the prime of his Hall of Fame career with the Minnesota Twins. Bat features a 1986-89 era center brand and signature barrel with model C243 stamped above Kirby's name while Puckett's uniform number 34 has been written in black marker on both ends of the bat. During this label period Puckett lead the league in hits three times (1987, 88 and 89), won the batting crown once (1989), won the silver slugger & gold glove awards four times each and finished 6th, 3rd, 3rd and 7th in end of the year American League MVP voting.
This ash bat currently weighs 32 ounces, measures 34.5" in length and matches known player factory records with a regular knob and round barrel. It exhibits signs of heavy use with numerous ball marks, deeply embedded stitch marks, bat rack marks, a heavy application of pine tar and a non-displaced handle crack which has been repaired.
Bat receives 5 points for matching known player records, 3 points for use and 2 points for player use traits resulting in a final grade of MEARS A10.
