Offered is a flannel Kansas City Athletics home jersey from the 1958-60 time frame. Wilson size 46 size tag sewn to outside tail along with chain stitching reading "Set 2 No. 23 58" indicating the set number, original uniform number and year of issue. "Athletics" is sewn to front of jersey and number 8 is sewn to the rear of the jersey, both in red on navy heavy felt, while an embroidered elephant logo patch can be found on the left sleeve. The original uniform number 23 was worn by hurler Virgil Trucks in 1958, while number 8 was donned by backstop Harry Chiti in 1959 and 1960. (B0159)
