Offered are a collection of 6 tickets for the July 4, 1923 Heavyweight Title Fight in which champion Jack Dempsey retained his belt against challenger Tommy Gibbons by unanimous decision after 15 rounds at the O'Toole County American Legion in Shelby, Montana. Each ticket is for a ringside seat and would have set the original attendee back some $50, a pretty good chunk of change in 1923. Each ticket measures 3" x 7", was manufactured by the Simplex Ticket Company in Chicago, Illinois and features a facsimile signature of fight promoter Loy J. Molumby. Tickets remain in very good condition. (X0242)
