This is the kind of team jacket which could keep you warm through those early or late season contests.
Resembling a letterman's jacket is this size "46" Phillies zip-up. Ribbed material surrounds the neckline, sleeve ends and tail.
Collar features include: leather hanger, Wilson Sports Equipment tag and size "46" flag tag. The inner side has a "46" swatch linking it to Dallas Green (his uniform number) in 1960. Green also signed the bottom in felt tip ink.
A felt "P" is executed on front and leather material is built into the sleeves. A repair is found on the surface. Accompanying this lot description is a 1959 dated photo of Robin Roberts wearing a similar style jacket. It was common practice for teams to wear the same style jackets for many seasons. Examination of the photo confirms the zip up style is correct, the construction of the jacket with respect to the leather and cuffed striped sleeves. Also near Robert's hand the top of the team "P" is visible.
