Competition was good for the NFL in the 1960s, especially that of the renegade AFL upstart league. The two powerhouses combined forces as the little league that could dissolved into the NFL in 1970 but not before the AFL had changed the way the game was played.

NFL play was usually three yards and a cloud of dust while the AFL opened up the game more and more. One of the AFL's finest was Billy Cannon. For all he did in the AFL, Cannon may be known more for his exploits at the college level.

Offered is a Cannon game worn durene Raiders jersey. Any Raidahs durene gamer has a little cherry on tip with the squatty 2" letters used for the NOB. We have determined the vintage to 1967-69 given the tattered Wilson tag in the tail.

The use is outstanding with an L-shaped repair on front and five more on the left shoulder/breast region. Each identifier is created in single-color silver tackle twill. A few scruff marks are still visible on front and great inner wash wear is present.

A ribbed neckline is found on on this beauty.

Overall one of the finest AFL jerseys left from the league which the NFL could not seem to conquer.
