Willie Mitchell was a key cog in the Chiefs AFL and Super Bowl success of the 1960s and early '70s. The steady cornerback enjoyed an eight-year career with most of his success coming in KC.

This fabulous white durene jersey has maintained its brilliance through the years and survived plenty of gridiron battles. This is a beauty on several fronts. First, the white durene still shines. Second, the red tackle twill identifiers are reinforced with yellow thread. And third, the NOB is expertly placed to a nameplate in single-color red tackle twill. And don't forget the sleeve numbers, added for a little source of aesthetics. The AFL was way ahead of the curve with its jerseys.

The original crotch-piece is still in-place, with the six buttons still attached. Applied to one end of the crotch-piece is a "Doak Walker Sports Center Dallas" tag and Sand Knit size label as well.

Diamond inserts are placed under the arms. The use is exemplary with four repairs, including one on the "2" on back.

This masterpiece has it all. Style, substance and it was worn by a stout Chiefs defender.
