Very rare high grade Bernie Williams rookie era game used bat. This professional model P89 Louisville Slugger dating to circa the 1983-85 label period with a block letter "Williams" (Bernie) barrel stamping & number 51 written in black marker both on the knob & in the barrel's cupped end. Bat currently measures 34", weighs 30 ounces and shows heavy use with ball marks, bat rack marks, grain swelling, light pine tar & a cracked handle. New York Yankees center fielder Bernie William's wore number 51 during his Major League career & began his minor league career in 1986, so the bat could possibly originate from the outset of his professional tenure.
