Released in 1957, the horror classis was rebranded to attract 1950s drive in theatre teen audiences. The updated script found Professor Frankenstein creating a hulking teenager from the body of an accident victim and his "creation" awakens and goes on a killing spree. Starring Gary Conway as Frankenstein, at the date of this writing (December 4th, 2017), Conway is the oldest living actor to portray the creature.
On March 25th, 2017, the professional staff of MEARS met with Gary Conway for a private signing during his appearance at the Hollywood Show, Chicago.
Gary Conway signed this limited edition 16x20 B&W glossy archival paper photo stock in near mint blue sharpie marker. This high resolution image depicts a detailed yet gruesome close-up of the Frankenstein’s monsters makeup job. Although titled a Frankenstein movie, in order to avoid copyright issues with Universal Studios, the monster is void of the flat head and bolts in neck but instead resembles a more gruesome, scarred version of Frankenstein.
Photo has been authenticated by the professional staff of JSA autograph authenticators and their official company hologram and matching certificate of authenticity card accompanying this piece. Their unique hologram number is maintained at the JSA website which validates the items authenticity.
