Offered is a Heinie Groh professional model Kren's Special game used bottle bat from the twilight of his carrer. This pre-model number stick features a Kren's Special Syracuse, N.Y. center brand and H Groh stamping.
This ash bat currently weighs 36 ounces, measures 33" in length and is consistent with Heinie's known specifications. It exhibits signs of heavy use most notably in the form of a handle crack which has been repaired with 3 period nails and an area of deadwood on the reverse of the barrel.
Bat receives 5 points for matching known player specifications, 3 points for use and loses 1 point each for the handle crack and dead wood on reverse resulting in a final grade of MEARS A6.
