Per the 2009 Standard Baseball Card Catalog (SCD), this set is described as:
"A third change in size and format was undertaken in the final year of Braves sets produced by Johnston's. The 35 cards in the 1955 set were issued in six fold-out panels of six cards each. (Andy Pafko was double printed). As in 1954, cards are numbered by uniform number, except those of the team equipment manager, trainer and road secretary (former Boston star Duffy Lewis). Single cards measure 2-7/8" x 4". Besides including panels in boxes of cookies, the '55 Johnstons could be ordered for five cents per panel by mail. The scarcest of the Johnston's issues, the 1955 set can be found today in still complete panels, or as single cards."

Each of the six envelopes are in near mint condition and remain in the original, unopened condition. Our consignor was the clubhouse attendant for the 1951-52 Milwaukee Brewers AAA team, and the 1953-57 Milwaukee Braves. This set was given to him from the Braves player's personal stash during the 1955 season directly from the Johnston cookie's sales rep. Meaning, this set was produced at the factory, given to the rep to give to the player, intercepted by our consignor, and offered directly by MEARS auctions. Fresh to the hobby, first time seen in 55 years!!!
