This glossy 7" x 9" photograph is a treasure. According to the original cutline (attached to the back side of the picture), this image of Hall of Fame players Larry Bird and Julius Erving comes from Bird's first professional game, a 1979 preseason contest. The cutline reads, "... Larry Bird (33), making his first professional appearance with a National Basketball Association team, goes up under the basket Thursday night Sept. 27, but finds the ball slapped out of his hands by Philadelphia 76ers' Julius Erving (6)."
The picture is a rare original shot from the first meeting of two all-time greats. NM condition. 00420
