Offered is a collection of memorabilia originating from the life of pre-turn of the century baseball man Robert "Gamey" Westlake. According to the placard accompanying the collection Westlake had a long career with numerous minor & major league teams where he played alongside and befriended such baseball luminaries as Cy Young, Honus Wagner, Clark Griffith and Sol White. Highlighting the collection is The Canton Repository's Baseball Summary card from the July 25, 1890 contest between Canton and Mckeesport in which Hall of Fame hurler Cy Young threw a no hitter, striking out 18 McKeesport batters.
