Offered is the plaque which was presented to Hall of Fame slugger Andre Dawson of the Chicago Cubs when he was named the National League's Player of the Week for May 1-7 of 1989. Dawson took home the award on the back of a torrid three day stretch between May 3rd and 5th during which he went 10 for 12 with 3 triples, 3 home runs, 6 runs scored and 5 runs batted in. Maybe the Hawk should have pulled up at second on a couple of those triples as he would need to get his knee drained and missed over a month before returning to the lineup of June 13th of the club's NL East Division Championship season.
